Current Research Activities:
My current research activities are focused on mechanisms of injury, inflammation and repair. Specific areas of interest include:
• Basic roles of the serine protease family, Granzymes, in tissue injury, inflammation and disease
• Mechanisms of age-related tissue degeneration
• Role and regulation of granzymes in wound healing
• Mechanisms of vascular injury in the context of aortic aneurysm, atherosclerosis and allograft vasculopathy
• Mechanisms of age-related skin injury and impaired healing
